For its final year at F1, Chase Sapphire Reserve wanted a premium hospitality space at the Miami Grand Prix, but not just another branded lounge. They wanted something elevated and cultural, in partnership with Faena Arts. I pitched the idea of The Sanctuary: a quiet, design-led escape from the energy of race weekend. A place to slow down, reset, and experience luxury in a softer, more human way.

x Creative Direction x Experiential

I concepted The Sanctuary and led the entire creative direction across the board from the initial idea to every piece of furniture, plant, layout detail, and merch experience (a kick ass patch customization experience on racing jackets). I worked closely with fabrication and production partners to turn a completely raw space into the oasis in my head, and collaborated with the internal Sapphire brand team to execute our shared vision.

Imagine a trackside refuge that feels more like a boutique hotel lobby crossed with an art installation. Arched entries, layered textures, tonal blues, and just enough contrast to feel cool without trying. Manuel Ameztoy’s hanging art swayed quietly across an entire side of the space while guests sipped cocktails in curved velvet seating. It was soft, thoughtful, and unapologetically slow, in the middle of one of the fastest weekends in sports.
